Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is recalling 173,237 G159 tires due to safety concerns, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Goodyear is recalling more than 173,000 G159 tires – nearly two decades after the last one was made – over concerns of tread separation and increased risk of a crash.
This comes following a preliminary investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration following allegations that Goodyear G159 tires installed on Class A motor homes failed in service, causing deaths or personal injuries.
