More than ten thousand people have fled across the Sudanese border into Chad – as fierce fighting continues between government and paramilitary forces battling for control of the country.
And the World Food Programme has told Channel 4 News that they’re preparing for up to a hundred thousand refugees to enter Chad. Efforts to agree a temporary ceasefire in Sudan for the Eid holiday have failed to materialise – with more gunfire and explosions rocking the capital, Khartoum.
