Northern Ireland is beautiful at this time of year so why not take the children out to explore it

As the evenings get darker and there is a chill in the air, keeping the children entertained after school or at the weekend can seem like a more difficult feat.

Go on a nature hunt Wrap up warm and set off on an exciting adventure in your local surroundings - even if it's to your own back garden! Search for pine cones, squirrels and even listen out for robins. Collecting leaves, hunting for conkers and taking in the changing season can be a fun day out for all ages.

Pebble art can be a fun activity to carry on after the day is over - have the little one collect pebbles and shells of all shapes and sizes and bring them home to see what they can create. Create a fairy garden Northern Ireland has a deep connection to fairy folklore so why not allow them to pass into your own garden.
