The dress was held up with thick straps that wrapped around her shoulders while material around her waist was ruched. Issa slipped into a pair of open-toed, black heels to coincide with the overall color scheme of her look for Hollywood's biggest night. A warm blush and contour was added to better accentuate her cheekbones, while a glossy, nude-colored tint was worn on her lips for a finishing touch.
The skirt was the opposite of the top, and was made of a dark green, velvet fabric that flowed down towards the ground along with a thigh-high slit on the left side Rae also stepped behind the camera to voice Jess Drew/Spider-Woman in the animated film Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse. During the interview, Rae also gave a simple 'message' to casting directors: 'Cast me'; seen earlier this month in L.A.The premise is: 'A novelist who's fed up with the establishment profiting from Black entertainment uses a pen name to write a book that propels him into the heart of the hypocrisy and madness he claims to disdain,' per an IMDB synopsis.
