I feel really blessed and really lucky to have been there and to have seen all these heads of state and people you would never normally come near altogether in one place and they were sat in the same building alongside ordinary people like myself and other members of the public who were selected to be there.
“Being awarded an MBE during not only the Queen’s Birthday Honours but at the celebration of her jubilee was incredibly significant and I was totally surprised by it and didn’t believe it,” she said.
