Consider: He tried to downplay the pandemic, making Florida one of few states that reported COVID-19 data weekly instead of daily, with data scientist Rebekah Jones alleging she was fired by the state for not agreeing to manipulate COVID-19 data; supported Donald Trump wholeheartedly until he thought he could run for president; pushed legislation to take away Disney’s surrounding territory management against the local county and Orlando’s objections — all this because of his anti-gay...
Meantime, the property tax bill for my Florida house is up 20.7 percent from 2021. The tax bill came after the election, so Floridians voted not knowing what was about to hit them. FYI, Florida’s insurance system is a mess , the Everglades are a disaster and the schools are a yawn. DeSantis’ management of COVID-19 was a mess . He talks big on immigration, but had to send a plane to Texas to find immigrants to fly to Martha’s Vineyard. Be careful what you wish for.
