More than 25,000 children have received invaluable safety advice since the scheme started in 1998
A rite of passage gathering which helps prepare Dumfriesshire’s primary seven children for the big step up into secondary schools has marked 25 years.
For three weeks, teams from the various agencies will teach vital skills to approximately 1,200 children aged from 10 to 12. “Throughout the 25 years, emergency, health and other professionals have taught life-saving skills such as CPR to more than 25,000 children, many of whom will remember their training for a lifetime.”
