Stirling residents’ patience is at breaking point over continued disruption caused by roadworks on one of the city’s main thoroughfares.
For more than a year roadworks have been taking place at Goosecroft Road at the junction of Shore Road into Riverside.
The works on Goosecroft Road involve temporary traffic lights. There is currently no left turn from Riverside towards the train station due to the road closure. And in recent weeks further temporary traffic lights have been installed at Cowane Street causing more delays.“For almost 18 months roadworks and traffic lights have been a hurdle to getting in and out of Riverside.Click here for more news and sport from the Stirling area.
A Stirling Council spokesperson said yesterday : “We recognise the disruption caused to residents and business within the city centre due to the works to construct the new cycleway network as part of the Walk, Cycle, Live Stirling project."This will allow the road to reopen to two-way traffic and the new traffic signals at the junction with Seaforth Place will be operational next week, completing this section of the project.
