Ranking One Piece characters by strength.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The One Piece live-action series has become one of Netflix’s most popular thanks to its colorful cast of characters, all with varying strengths and power levels to rank. Based on the original manga by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece season 1 brought the iconic characters to life, from the Straw Hats to the intimidating pirates of the seas.
He joins the Marines at the same time as Koby, and the two initially clash with how to go about their training. By the end of the season, however, the two learned to respect each other and Helmeppo was chosen to train under Garp as well. While Helmeppo has a lot of growing to do just like Koby, he is slightly higher on the list because of his knowledge of the Marines growing up under his father.
Despite Usopp’s strengths, he is still considerably weaker than his fellow Straw Hats. He grew up telling elaborate stories about adventure and pirates, but without the actual experience, he is quite a cowardly person. Now that Usopp finally has the opportunity to travel with a crew, he is dead-set on becoming stronger and a brave warrior of the sea.
Axe-Hand Morgan only appeared in one episode of One Piece, but his power was shown off pretty aptly. He had many loyal men who listened to him, and Luffy, Zoro, and Nami had to work together to actually take him down. Though he was ultimately defeated, there’s no doubting Captain Morgan’s strength and legacy in the One Piece universe.
8 Sanji The smooth-talking chef of the Baratie, Sanji’s greatest strength is his passion for food. He is incredibly innovative, making up dishes for his enjoyment even if it means defying Zeff’s orders. It’s actually quite a surprise how skilled of a fighter Sanji ends up being, with his first true show of power being him defeating a few diners in Baratie’s main dining room with just his feet.
Zoro’s defining fighting style includes dual-wielding katanas, even using a third when necessary by putting it in his mouth. Throughout the series, he is shown defeating his enemies with some easy slices and possessing incredible strength. Though he is almost taken out by the pirate Mihawk in a swordfight, Mihawk spares him as he sees Zoro’s potential.
