Irving ranks No. 7 for dog parks in U.S.
Irving ranked No. 7 in the U.S. for its dog parks by lawncare service LawnStarter. The Austin-based company compared 93 U.S. cities on dog park access, quality and geographic climate.
A partnership between the city and the Las Colinas Association, the park has areas for small and large dogs with pet-waste stations, water fountains, shade structures and benches. But some people are opposed to dog parks, arguing they gentrify neighborhoods and take away from traditional green spaces, according to the study.
