WALNUT CREEK — An 18-year-old Lathrop man has been arrested less than a week after Las Lomas High students were evacuated from the school following reports of a threatened school shooting, police said.
Police arrested the man Thursday on suspicion of making criminal threats and causing a false report of an emergency, according to a statement from Walnut Creek police Lt. Holley Connors. The man was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility, according to Connors. Jail records showed he was not in custody early Friday.about noon, Connors said. Las Lomas High staff about that time received a phone call threatening a shooting on the campus, she said.
Police had students and staff shelter in place as officers searched the campus. Officers didn’t find any weapons on the campus, lifted the lockdown and sent the students home.
