The band will be donating money to foodbanks in Liverpool and Wirral 'to help those in genuine need'
Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark have blown away their fans with a "wonderful gesture" after receiving an unexpected windfall following a recent gig.
The organisers got in touch with OMD and offered the band an undisclosed sum by way of compensation. But rather than pocketing the money themselves, OMD decided to donate all the money to foodbanks in Liverpool and Wirral "to help those in genuine need".READ MORE: HMRC giving up to £900 to those with certain pay slip codes
