Friday’s ceremony, which was attended by Prince William and Princess Eugenie, marked the U.K.’s buzziest society event of the year. Grosvenor has close ties to the royals: His godfather is none other than King Charles III, and he himself is godfather to William’s eldest son, Prince George, and Prince Harry’s son, Prince Archie. Video posted to social media Friday showed Henson arriving to a very windy scene in front of the church, as her dramatic veil whipped around her.
The neckline and cuffs of the new Duchess’s three-quarter-length sleeved dress were trimmed with scalloped lace. If the dress’s detachable 6-foot train wasn’t dramatic enough, the back of the gown also featured a dropped waistline and a large keyhole opening closed with a button at the top. Henson donned a Grosvenor family heirloom on her big day as well, wearing the Fabergé Myrtle Leaf Tiara, which dates back to 1906.
