Musician Oliver Anthony announced he would be going on tour following his jump to fame earlier this week.
Anthony, who lives in Farmville, Virginia, dropped"Rich Men North of Richmond" on YouTube Tuesday to the reception of more than 4.5 million views and more than 302,000 likes. His previous release on his record label received roughly a tenth of the engagement. The lyrics imply that the titular characters of the song are the politicians in Washington, D.C., which is over 100 miles north of Richmond, Virginia.

Another one of his songs,"Ain't Gotta Dollar," is No. 2 on the platform. He has more than 260,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, an increase from the 40,000 he had earlier this week.
Anthony's Instagram account has risen in followers since the release of his song, increasing by almost 50,000 between Thursday and Friday. He previously had fewer than 10,000.
