Old Spanish Trail was reopened after a major gas leak near the Texas Medical Center on Wednesday afternoon.
The University of Texas Police at Houston said Bertner Avenue and Old Spanish Trail were closed as a result of the leak.In a follow-up tweet, UT Police at Houston said the gas line was isolated, allowing for Old Spanish Trail to reopen. One lane of Bertner south of Old Spanish Trail remained closed as CenterPoint continued repairs.
