CLEVELAND, Ohio — Chardon’s quest for a third straight OHSAA Division III state football championship ended with a hard-hitting Region 9 championship loss to Canfield, which kept Northeast Ohio’s streak going for state championships.
While Canfield suffered big losses to graduation, Chardon remains a favorite. So does Aurora and Kenston, two programs that have met the Hilltoppers to either decide playoff games or conference titles.
