On Tuesday, 502 new COVID-19 deaths were reported; deaths are reported by the state twice per week.

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Due to an error caused by invalid data, Tuesday’s new COVID-19 case count is incomplete, according to a statement on the Ohio Department of Health website.The error delayed processing of results from other laboratories, the state said. As these results are processed, positive cases will be attributed to their proper illness onset date on the state’s COVID-19 dashboard.Ohio’s death toll since the beginning of the pandemic now stands at 32,489, up 502 from the last report.

A total of 7,145,161 Ohioans have received at least one vaccination, representing about 64.9% of Ohioans age 5 and up. Since the beginning of 2021, there have been 16,820 deaths among people reported as unvaccinated, and 804 among people reported to be fully vaccinated. And there have been 55,481 hospitalized Ohioans who were not fully vaccinated, and 3,372 fully vaccinated people hospitalized.
