Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine recommended his state postpone its primary election until June 2 because of the coronavirus pandemic, a day before voters were set to go to the polls Tuesday

Mr. DeWine, a Republican, said he didn’t have the unilateral authority to move an election date but that individuals would be filing a lawsuit Monday seeking to make the move. The state’s secretary of state said he was instructing the state attorney general to not contest the suit.
