There were 75 counties classified as green, the highest number since July 2022. Lorain County was the only Greater Cleveland county designated green this week.
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cuyahoga and most northern Ohio counties stayed yellow, for moderate COVID-19 spread, while most of the rest of the state turned green for low spread on the latest U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention map.Lorain County was the only Greater Cleveland county designated green this week. Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Summit, Medina and Portage counties were classified as yellow.
People in red counties with high transmission are advised by the CDC to wear masks indoors. Counties are considered to have high transmission levels when community coronavirus circulation could overwhelm local hospitals. Counties are classified as low , medium or high under the CDC’s system for estimating the risk of COVID-19 infection.
