Ruth and Harold Frazier Elementary will serve the Trinity Falls neighborhood in north McKinney.
Officials have broken ground on a new elementary school in McKinney named after longtime area educators.
The school will be located at the intersection of Lady Bird Drive and Backwater Bay Cove in north McKinney, on Frazier family land that has been handed down from generation to generation for more than 150 years, the district said. McKinney ISD Board President Amy Dankel, McKinney Mayor George Fuller and Shane Williams from Pogue Construction were among the guests at the event. Also present was Lynette Deily, daughter of Ruth and Harold Frazier.
