Three administrators and two coaches at Midland Christian School are charged with failure to report with intent to conceal neglect or abuse.
MIDLAND, Texas — Five employees at a Christian school, including the superintendent, are facing criminal charges, accused of covering up the reported sexual assault of a student during a hazing ritual.
The victim was then pinned down and sexually assaulted with a baseball bat while other students watching cheered, according to Yahoo! News. A student has been arrested in connection with the reported assault.that Ellis told Lee of the incident. Lee then reportedly told McClendon and Counts to investigate the incident, but no law-enforcement officials were notified.
An investigator said the documentation had been created just days earlier and was “essentially nothing,” NewsWest9 reports. Reports say Jason Stockstill, president of the Midland Christian School’s board of trustees, released a statement on the incident, saying “school officials have, and will continue to, cooperate with law enforcement and their investigation.”
