JUST IN: Police have locate the vehicle in connection to a police shooting that left one officer injured. The suspect, described by officials as a 35-year-old white male, 6'4’’, 250 lbs, remains outstanding.
PHOENIX — One officer has been shot and police are actively searching for a suspect named Nicholas Cody Cowan after a police involved shooting incident in north Phoenix Thursday.
While officers were speaking with that person, the suspect showed up at the gas station and began firing at the officers, who returned fire, according to Chief Williams. One officer was shot and is at the hospital being treated. The female officer is a 24-year veteran of the Phoenix Police Department, according to Chief Williams. The officer is also married and has children.
