An Edmonds police officer died from his injuries after he was stabbed while he was off-duty in Las Vegas.
March 28, 2022 at 11:30 am PDTEDMONDS, Wash. — An off-duty Edmonds police officer died from his injuries after he was stabbed in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas homicide detectives said Steffins and Allen had been in an argument over an interaction with a dog the night before. Allen was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for investigation of open murder with a deadly weapon.Steffins joined the Edmonds Police Department in August 2018. He was a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2007 to 2011, with recognition for his service during Operation Enduring Freedom.Steffins worked as a patrol officer for both day and night shifts.
