An update on the condition of the victims was not immediately available Friday.
OAKLAND – Two people were injured in a shooting Friday afternoon in Oakland’s Redwood Heights neighborhood, according to police.
The shooting was reported shortly after 2:15 p.m. in the 3900 block of Masterson Street, the Oakland Police Department said in a statement. Officers arrived to find one victim suffering from gunshot injuries. They provided medical treatment until paramedics arrived at the scene. Officers later learned that a second shooting victim had arrived at an area hospital, according to police.Anyone with information related to the case can contact the Oakland Police Department’s Felony Assault Unit at 510-238-3426.
