“The police department was an eager participant in the event this year as a way to bring the community together in a fun and interactive environment. It was a total team effort led by the Community Policing division with assistance from generous partners like the Oak Park Fire Department, Public Works Department, FOP Lodge 8, Chicago Police Memorial Foundation, Scratch Kitchen on Lake, Target and Create Balance Counseling,” village spokesman Dan Yopchick told Pioneer Press.
