City officials have told some adult migrants that they have hit the 60-day limit for staying in the city's shelter system.

Governor Kathy Hochul is reiterating that New York does not have the money to handle the ongoing migrant crisis, and that she and the state's budget director are now making moves to trim costs as crossing at the southern border rise once again. FOX 5 NY's Chris Welch has the story.Governor Kathy Hochul says New York is spending "millions of dollars" to build shelters for migrants and that the current situation is not sustainable.

According to a letter shared with FOX 5 NY by activist Power Malu, some migrants are receiving letters notifying them that their 60 days are up. "There is a limit to who we can house at this time," Hochul said Friday morning on MSNBC. "And we need the rest of the country to step up."
