Offensive tweets containing racist language along with photographs were visible on the accounts for around two hours on Thursday morning. Mr Heaton-Harris, who is the Conservative MP for Daventry, has served as Secretary of State for Northern Ireland since September 2022. After his account was restored, he tweeted: “I’m afraid my Twitter account was hacked overnight and someone posted some deeply unpleasant stuff on my account for which I can only apologise.”
Ms Soubry, who resigned from the Conservative Party following Brexit to join The Independent Group for Change with other cross-party MPs before becoming leader of Change UK, is now a criminal barrister after losing her seat at the last general election.More from
