Patients can now receive a visitor for one hour every day
Northampton General Hospital has lifted its restrictions on visitors on wards after the number of patients with flu and Covid-19 has dropped. It comes 11 days after the hospital banned all visitors from adult inpatient wards, a decision that drew harsh criticism.

We understand just how important visiting is to patients and how it helps them to recover, and we need to balance this very carefully against the risk of infections being brought into the hospital.
NGH later apologised to to the Location Location Location presenter for possibly confusing the public with its initial announcement. Allsopp said: "If I was a local journalist I might be asking what on earth is going on?"
