A North Chicago woman has been charged in a Waukegan shooting that broke out among people gathered at a prearranged fight, according to police.
Hanna was among a group of people who had arrived at about 9 p.m. at a parking lot in the 1800 block of 14th Street for what police said was a scheduled fight between two women.
However, police said, before the fight started, someone among those gathered in the lot began shooting. Waukegan police said multiple eyewitnesses identified Hanna as the shooter.A warrant was issued for her arrest and she was taken into custody Friday during what police said was an anti-violence suppression detail. She is being held at the Lake County jail in lieu of $2 million bail.
