North Carolina schools will reopen in fall with a mix of online and in-person learning, the governor said Tuesday, but school districts will have the option to switch to online instruction only.
Gov. Roy Cooper announced Tuesday that K-12 public schools in the state will be a mix of remote and in-person learning with the option for school districts to choose entirely online instruction, a directive that comes as President Trump and administration officials continue to pressure states to fully reopen this fall....
Cooper had previously directed schools to prepare for three potential options: “Plan A” called for entirely in-person learning, “Plan B” called for mix of remote and in-person learning, and “Plan C” called for remote learning only.
