Nordstrom Inc., the retail giant with nearly 1,000 operating stores across the United States and Canada, will temporarily close the doors starting March 17.
, which encourages the masses to limit dense social interactions and for employers to “identify possible work-related exposure and health risks.”
With so many outposts across North America, Nordstrom concluded that the wisest way to suppress a theoretical outbreak is to enact a two-week hiatus, asking its hefty workforce to stay home, providing them with compensation in the interim. “We realize the impact a closure can have on our store employees, and this is not a decision we made lightly,” Nordstrom expressed.
