Jordan Peele's upcoming horror film Nope gets its own website, which features a variety of interactive elements and some eerie plot clues. Following the success of his previous two horror releases, Get Out and Us, Peele is set to return this summer for his third highly anticipated film, Nope. Peele is known for his masterfully crafted filmmaking, with both Get Out and Us having become standouts of the genre and the former securing him the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY In true Peele style, early teasers for Nope left audiences desperate to know more, having revealed very little in the way of plot. Over time though, through the help of subsequent teasers and posters, more has been deciphered about Nope and its story. However, many of the film’s secrets, naturally, remain tightly under wraps.
Yeun's character was previously revealed to be called Ricky"Jupe" Park, though little else was confirmed past that. However, the website reveals that the character is a former child actor and reality TV star, as well as the face of Jupiter's Claim. As one of the movie's lead stars, Yeun has been at the center of much of Nope's promotion, with the film's Dolby poster having utilized the character's red sequined jacket.
While this new interactive site certainly offers a variety of hints and clues as to how the events of Nope could pan out, it certainly creates more questions than it answers. Those who are keen to learn what lies ahead in Peele's latest horror offering will likely enjoy sifting through the cryptic pages of the website, in search of any minor reveals prior to the film's release.
