TheOffer producers Nikki Toscano & Russell Rothberg share why they had to be a part of telling the behind-the-scenes story of TheGodfather. Check out our interview here:

Paramount+'s new series The Offer is not a remake of one of the greatest movies ever made, but it is a companion to the true story. Raising The Godfather took a village, and on the eve of the film's 50th anniversary, some of the greatest actors in Hollywood today were amassed to dramatize how it happened. The show has already premiered its first three episodes, and fans are buzzing at how everything went down.

Nikki Toscano: That Al Ruddy had to battle the real-life mafia to make this film. It's the entire hook of the series. I think it's what distinguishes it and makes it something more than just a traditional, behind the scenes look at - granted - one of the most iconic films of all time. Nikki Toscano: I did. I had a lot of conversations with Al early on. He is an extraordinary man. So much fun, and so incredibly ambitious and driven, and never stops thinking of an angle; never stops thinking of what he can do next.

Russell Rothberg: First of all, Miles was really fun to work with, and somebody who came to set every single day as prepared as somebody could be. He knew his character in a way, sooner or later, maybe better than us - but at least as good as we did. There was an incredible amount of responsibility, and there was a part of it that was very scary. But I think in the end, it was a challenge that we both were super excited about facing.
