Nick Montgomery insists his decision to rest Martin Boyle in Paisley paid off as the Socceroo speed demon powered Hibs to a first win in seven league games.
“Today we got our just rewards because we had a fresh Martin Boyle and he looked dangerous every time he got on the attack. Getting through 90 minutes probably tells you he’ll be desperate to go off with Australia, he’s a big player for them as well. Montgomery said: “I’m really happy for Josh. He’s a player who’s probably been frustrated the first couple of weeks, but he’s kept his head down, worked hard and now he’s got his reward.
The rotations in Hibs forward areas mean there’s no shortage of variety with Campbell joining Dylan Vente, Boyle and Tavares in mixing it up. And Montgomery’s men eventually found the net after 35 minutes with Boyle the architect.
