A Belfast doorman has thanked his place of work for 'making his family smile again' after donating money so he could bring water to his home village.

Earlier this month, owners of The Harp Bar and The Duke of York Willie and Joanne Jack, donated £5,000 to Amadou ahead of a trip home to his village Sare Yewtu in order to build a well and bring fresh water to the area. He said: "I am thankful to Willie, Ronan and all my Harp Bar family - this is a very proud moment for me and my family.A spokesperson for The Harp Bar said: "Amadou is loved by everyone here at The Harp, on both sides of the bar. Being able to donate this money so that he can make a lasting difference in his home village is an honour and seeing it up and running is just incredible.
