Newcastle United's Sporting Director has been on gardening leave for over a month after expressing his desire to join Manchester United. Negotiations between the clubs include a transfer ban clause if the move happens.
Now over a month since the Newcastle United Sporting Director was placed on gardening leave after having made clear that he wants to join Manchester United . The unprofessional bullying approach from Man U summed up by Sir Jim Ratcliffe (see below), who went public in claiming how unfair it was that Newcastle United would keep Dan Ashworth to his contractual gardening leave until January 2026, unless Man U paid appropriate compensation.
Ratcliffe embarrassingly claiming ‘That’s not the way the UK works, or the law works.’ Brighton CEO Paul Barber then though swiftly put the Man U bullying clown right (see below), when making crystal clear that this was EXACTLY how the UK / Law works. So unless Ratcliffe and Man U willing to do the professional thing and come to an agreement with Newcastle United regarding their demands, Dan Ashworth set to be stuck in his ‘garden’ for the next 21 months or so., they are reporting that as part of negotiations / demands, Newcastle United want to insert a transfer ban clause if / when Dan Ashworth moves to Old Trafford, which would then prevent him signing any Newcastle United player
