Newcastle United will join Aston Villa in their push to increase the PSR allowable loss limit to £135million next season.that increasing the PSR limit would allow both Newcastle and Villa to “accelerate” their spending and close the gap to the “big six”.
Villa have proposed an increase to the PSR allowable losses from £105million to £135million next season in what will be the final year of the current regulations. It would allow top-flight clubs to lose a maximum of £135million over a three-year rolling period, with any excessive losses resulting in a points deduction.
