Simon Jordan questions Amanda Staveley for her recent comments on former Newcastle manager Steve Bruce
Amanda Staveley has apologised to Steve Bruce for suggesting the former Newcastle boss did not want to come into work after the takeovercaptain was at the helm at St James' Park when the £305million takeover by the consortium including Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund was completed in 2021.
Last week, Staveley said at the Bloomberg Power Players' Summit in Jeddah: "We had few commercial revenues, we had a team that was ageing, a fan base that was angry, and a coach who basically didn't even want to come to work."at the time of the club’s change in ownership, I suggested the club had a coach who did not want to come to work.
