New York City officials plan to remove around 150 homeless encampments around the city as part of an effort to move unhoused individuals off the streets

The process will span two weeks, with city officials notifying people living in these areas 24 hours ahead of time. Officials will also provide them with information on social services and shelter options. New York City Mayorsaid officials will also give out vouchers that will allow people to recover their private belongings after they are removed.
