New Xpeng G9 Flagship Electric SUV's Interior Leaked, Is Dominated By Three Massive Screens | Carscoops carscoops
When Xpeng lifted the veil on its flagship SUV, it did so without showcasing its interior. However, a video shared to Weibo by Xpeng chairman He Xiaopeng has provided us with our first chance to see inside the all-electric SUV. It’s certainly intriguing.Dominating the dashboard of the Xpeng G9 is a digital instrument cluster and two large infotainment screens that house virtually all of the SUV’s controls.
Xpeng didn’t reveal much about the G9’s powertrain when it was first showcased in November. We now know that it features a pair of electric motors consisting of a 234 hp unit at the front axle and a 308 hp unit at the rear axle.says the SUV uses an 800-volt architecture that supports 480 kW charging, meaning 200 km of range can be added in just 5 minutes. It is understood that flagship variants will be able to travel over 700 km on a charge and hit 100 km/h in 3 seconds.
Xpeng has also equipped the G9 with its XPILOT 4.0 semi-autonomous driving system that has two LiDAR sensors, an 8 million pixel front binocular camera and 2.9 million pixel side cameras, allowing for semi-autonomous driving functions.G9 will open in China on August 10 with the first deliveries penciled in for September. Final pricing details have yet to be announced.
