Despite Texas' proximity to Mexico, even large chain grocery stores in Houston often don't have all the ingredients and products needed for traditional Mexican cooking. But a Kroger in South Houston is feeling a little closer to home as it offers 900 new products catering to the Latino community. I certainly felt more connected to my Mexican roots when I walked into the store last week and heard the song, 'Nunca Es Suficiente' playing and saw products familiar to my upbringing.
