A new community hub including housing for temporary accommodation has been approved for Newtownards in East Belfast.
None of the statutory bodies made any objections to the application. The council received one objection from a member of the public, a neighbouring resident. “The proposal is designed to improve community relations and provide support for those in need within the community. The use on this site is therefore considered acceptable in principle subject to other relevant material considerations.”
“It will run events such as developing life skills, Health and Wellbeing, cultural events etc and will therefore be in keeping with which states that the council will seek to provide development opportunities for community, health, leisure, nurseries and educational facilities based on local need.”
