New 2022 Lexus LX Sold Out For 4 Years In Japan, Over A Year Waiting List For NX | Carscoops carscoops
, and now it’s doing the same for its more luxurious cousin, the 2022 Lexus LX.
On Friday, Toyota informed its Japanese customers that they’ll also need to wait four years to get their hands on the new generation Lexus LX full-sized SUV in a report listing the delivery times of a number of models for its home market. The report takes into account the industry-wide production delays as compared to each vehicle’s demand.
“If you purchase from now on, it may take about 4 years to deliver the car,” Lexus informed customers on its website. “We will consider efforts to shorten the delivery time to our customers as much as possible, and we appreciate your understanding.” However, the company also noted that this is “the outlook as of February 18” adding that it “may change depending on the production situation in the future”.
The new LX being sold out for four years is certainly something, but we can at least somewhat begin to understand it given how desirable the vehicle is. What’s a bit harder to understand, though, is that according to the same release,
