Houston’s East Downtown area is getting a new 15,000 square-foot nightlife and live music venue expected to infuse more entertainment options to the rapidly changing, hip neighborhood.

The company is planning its second location nationally in Houston east of downtown.Houston’s East Downtown is getting a new 15,000-square-foot nightlife and live music venue, bringing another entertainment option to the rapidly changing, hip neighborhood.

Contractors with Houston-based Construction Concepts – the same construction company behind trendy restaurant build-outs such as Burger Bodega, Marmo, Acme Oyster and Hando Sushi – have been working to convert a former industrial warehouse off McKinney Street into an event and entertainment space. The project included a multimillion-dollar rehab of the building under a design by Houston architecture firm Method Architecture. NOTO has had a lease on the property, off McKinney Street near Sampson Lofts, for about a year, the company said.
