Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Head Count is a new neo-Western thriller with a unique structure. The film is built around a moment in which its protagonist—Kat, played by Aaron Jakubenko--stares down the barrel of a gun, trying to remember how many bullets are left.
The film was directed by Jacob and Ben Burghart and written by the duo and Josh Doke. In addition to Aaron Jakubnko, Head Count stars Melanie Zanetti , Ryan Kwanten , Chris Bylsma , Addam Bramich , and Polaris Banks . Screen Rant is excited to exclusively premiere the first teaser for Head Count, which immediately demonstrates the promise of the premise and offers a number of moments to look forward to in the full film.
A Closer Look At Head Count In addition to the trailer, Screen Rant is happy to debut the Head Count poster, which was designed by comic book artist Greg Smallwood. Smallwood also recently won an Eisner Award at San Diego Comic-Con for his work on The Human Target. The Head Count poster showcases Smallwood’s artistic flair while also instantly evoking the mood, story, and style of the upcoming film.
Head Count is the Burghart brothers’ first feature film after the duo established themselves through a series of shorts including ++++: Plus Four, Suspense, and Neon Veins: Hemorrhage. Between the evocative poster and the trailer, Head Count looks to be quite the ride, full of eccentric characters and high-stakes situations. The trailer for Head Count features some great comedic moments as well, suggesting a watch that is just as fun as it is thrilling.
