Neighbours say they heard "screams" and a loud "bang" as a fatal fire ripped through a house in Tameside .
A scene remained in place on Kipling Avenue throughout Wednesday morning and into the afternoon. A lone police car remained parked at the end the "quiet" cul-de-sac, off Waverley Crescent. Another neighbour, a man who asked not to be named, said he heard sirens late last night and looked outside to see smoke billowing from the house.
