A dry cold front on Monday will bring in cooler air over the region and blustery winds into the evening. However, there is a chance of showers and small hail and even possibly snow down to 2,000 feet Tuesday.
Tuesday and Wednesday are forecast to be some of the colder nights so far this winter, with lows in the 30s and the upper 20s for the interior valleys. San Jose saw its coldest night this winter on Dec.19, with temperatures dipping to 32 degrees. Oakland’s coldest day was Jan. 2, when temperatures reached 32 degrees, Palmer said.
By Thursday morning, the Bay Area will have had at least three cold nights and chilly days, which could put people without shelter at risk. Warm and dry weather will trend Thursday afternoon into Friday with estimated highs around 60 degrees.
