The Mavericks believed officials of the March 22 game didn’t properly administer a call that led to an unconstested Warriors’ basket.
Meanwhile, Crew Chief Sean Wright confirmed shortly after the final horn that it was always Warriors ball.
“Under these circumstances, Dallas was not able to show — as required under the standard for NBA game protests — that it was deprived of a fair opportunity to win the game, and the protest failed on that basis alone,” the league said in a written release.
