CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The National Weather Service has issued a high-wind warning for counties along the lakeshore starting Saturday afternoon and into the night.
The warning is in effect for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Lake and Lorain counties from noon Saturday until midnight Sunday. Winds will be coming from the southwest at 25 to 35 miles per hour and could create wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour, NWS says. This warning includes the cities of Ashtabula, Avon Lake, Cleveland, Conneaut, Eastlake, Elyria, Geneva, Lorain, Mentor, North Ridgeville, Painesville, Wickliffe, Willoughby and Willowick, the weather service says.“If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows.
