The following items were taken from Naperville police reports and press releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt:
Levedia Barfield, 49, of the 100 block of Barrames Avenue, Joliet, was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance at 12:27 a.m. Sept. 2 at West Chicago Avenue and South Washington Street. Fariel M. Deberry, 43, of the 1000 block of Terrace Lake Drive, Aurora, was arrested on charges of speeding 35 mph over the limit, driving without insurance and driving a vehicle with canceled, suspended or revoked registration at 3:37 a.m. Sept. 2 at Ogden Avenue and Trade Street, Aurora.
James Nathiel Short Jr., 28, of the 600 block of Douglas Avenue, Naperville, was arrested on charges of fleeing police, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, driving on a suspended/revoked license, driving without insurance and resisting or obstructing a police officer at 10:49 p.m. Sept. 2 in the first block of East Chicago Avenue.
